The system is designed so nobody can chase a visible result, Bossio cannot adjust his score after seeing the crowd, and low-volume results do not look more certain than they are.
Scores stay sealed
Voters see neither score before or after submitting. Both are shown only when the host runs the reveal.
Guest-first, one ballot
A signed, HttpOnly browser identity, Turnstile challenge, origin checks, and rate limits reduce repeat voting and automated spam. Regular voters do not create an account.
Email only when the stakes demand it
Suspicious activity, Prize rounds, Finals, and an announced close-result check use a six-digit email code. One private email check is reusable only for that live event and is never a mailing-list signup.

The Standard Score is calculated from the frozen People average and Bossio’s locked score. The formula is the same for every entry.
The extremes come off
Once a round reaches 10 countable ballots, the highest and lowest tenth are dropped before the People average is taken. A block of ballots cast out of loyalty rather than judgment cannot carry a round, and one harsh ballot cannot sink it.
Thin rounds have to earn their number
For ranking, a round’s People average is pulled toward the season average in proportion to how few ballots stand behind it. Two ballots at 100 do not outrank twenty at 92. Nobody’s ballot counts less than anybody else’s; a round with little evidence simply has not proven itself yet. Both the raw and the ranked figure are printed on the Leaderboard.
Positions need evidence
Tutorial, Showcase, and Barber Business & Investing are rated separately, overall and by category. A rating under 10 countable ballots takes no position on the board; 10 to 49 is provisional; 50 or more is established.
Creator credit is verified
Leaderboard profile links appear only after the creator or video owner’s public profile has been checked.
The receipt stays visible
Countable vote count, excluded count, rubric version, division, and People/Bossio gap remain attached to every Leaderboard result.
Email addresses are normalized and stored only as keyed hashes. Codes expire after 10 minutes, attempts and resends are capped, and required verification cannot be bypassed by the host. Unresolved ballots do not enter the frozen People Score.
