Stay at the workshop, stay closer to downtown, or add an extra day to explore Tampa. Here is what I recommend.

Pull up and park

Parking at the Hyatt is free and plentiful. Enter through the main hotel lobby and follow the signs for the 6FB Workshop.

Stay at the venue

The Hyatt Place is not a luxury hotel, but it is newer, affordable, and located in a great area. Rooms are often available around $100 per night, though rates will vary.

Rent a car

We recommend picking up a rental car at Tampa International Airport. The hotel is about 30 minutes away, depending on traffic, and having a car makes the entire trip easier.

Around Wesley Chapel

There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel. You will also be close to several Headlines locations, so we may check one out if the schedule allows. Wesley Chapel is a fast-growing area with plenty to do nearby.

Explore Tampa

I do not blame you if you would rather stay closer to downtown. Water Street, Hyde Park Village, Ybor City, and Armature Works are great places to start. If you have extra time, some of the area's best beaches are about 45 to 60 minutes away, depending on traffic.

What exactly am I building?

A practical operating system for your shop or chair. It brings your culture, client experience, marketing, growth plans, money, standards, priorities, and recurring work into one clear structure. The SOPs, checklists, scripts, templates, plans, numbers, and business knowledge live inside a portable AI Folder on your laptop that you own.

What role does AI play?

AI is about 20 percent of the workshop. The other 80 percent is clarifying how the culture, marketing, money, growth, and operations should work, then documenting the business so the system stays dependable. AI helps you create, find, understand, update, and use your files. It is the assistant, not the product.

Where did the workshop system come from?

Headlines Barbers is the real-business proving ground. We use it to test the folder structure, weekly reviews, barber growth, approval rules, and the business documents a working shop needs. The reusable pieces are cleaned, sanitized, and packaged before they reach your laptop.

Is this for a shop owner or a barber?

Both. Shared teaching establishes the method, then the room separates into Barber OS and Shop OS builds. Barber OS centers on the client experience, personal brand, marketing, money, and weekly chair growth. Shop OS adds culture, team leadership, shop data, marketing, front-desk truth, a one-on-one design session, and a 30-day follow-up call with Chris.

Do I need to be technical?

No development experience is required. If you can open folders, edit a document, and follow a checklist, you can do the work. The tools are installed and verified before the workshop, every build has a clear finish line, and coaches work the floor all three days.

What tools are required?

Bring a laptop with Claude Pro, Claude Desktop, and VS Code installed. Claude Pro is about $20 per month. We send setup guidance and verify your tools before Day 1 so the room is spent building instead of downloading software.

Do I need FullCap or different booking software?

No. FullCap is not required for the workshop. Keep the tools you already use. We have made FullCap, QuickBooks, Meta, Google Ads, and other business connections work across 6FB apps and systems; the workshop packages the repeatable patterns instead of forcing one software stack. FullCap can connect directly, while other booking platforms can use an available connection, export, screenshot, CSV, or simple pasted-information path.

Who should not buy a seat?

Do not buy a seat if the travel, software, or ticket cost would strain your business or household. Do not use money needed for rent, taxes, payroll, emergencies, debt payments, or other required obligations. This is also not a fit if you expect promised revenue, a done-for-you business, or results without completing the pre-work and participating all three days.

What happens if I fall behind or my laptop fails?

The room has three coaches, a staffed support station, visible checkpoints, optional office hours after Day 2, three loaner laptops, and a one-file fallback. The goal is a working system for every attendee, not identical builds at identical speed.

What happens after I buy?

You receive the Build Intake and setup guidance. Your answers help the team tailor the room, prepare your track, and identify the business material you should bring. Owners use the intake to begin their system-design plan before arriving.

What is the refund policy?

A full refund is available until 14 days before Day 1. Inside 14 days the seat, the materials, and the coach time are already committed, so the seat is yours. Payment plans are available at checkout if the cost is what is in the way.

What should I plan for travel?

The workshop is at Hyatt Place Tampa/Wesley Chapel, 26000 Sierra Center Blvd, Lutz, FL 33559. Doors open at 8:45 AM and class runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Parking is free and plentiful. We recommend renting a car at Tampa International Airport. The hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic. Lodging and meals are not included, and the informal Day 3 send-off is optional and on your own tab.
